With Thanksgiving right around the corner (btw- did we just skip over October? It went by so fast!), it’s time to start thinking about what outfit to wear for Thanksgiving. Whether it’s Thanksgiving Day, or Thanksgiving dinner, if you’re like me, then you’re planning on wearing a comfy, casual outfit. I usually spend my thanksgiving’s bouncing around between spending time with my family, and spending time with my boyfriend’s. My goal is always to dress cute but be able to eat as much food as humanly possible… and STILL be comfortable. Below are my top thirteen thanksgiving outfit ideas so you can dress to impress, but not sacrifice any comfort.
If you’re looking for a Thanksgiving outfit that’s dressier but still casual, this one is perfect. This black leather skirt is such a versatile piece and pairing it with a scarf adds some color and keeps you warm.
I just bought this plaid dress and love it! It’s also perfect for fall or winter family photos and would be so cute for date night.
This outfit is so festive, is perfect for Thanksgiving Day/night and even for Christmas! I just got this skirt in and absolutely love the fit. I also love this sweater- it’s great to pair with skirts, knotted over dresses, with leggings or jeans!
Okay, this is definitely one of my favorites. While many may opt out on wearing jeans for thanksgiving because they worry about comfort, that’s not an issue with these jeans. I swear by this brand because they are stretchy, comfy, and hug you in all the right places. I also love the distressing on the bottom because it’s perfect to wear with booties during fall and winter.
Spanx are one of my favorite pieces in general, and not just for Thanksgiving. Yes, they are expensive, but they are SO worth the price! I love other leggings, but never have found a pair whose quality is even close to my Spanx I wore them during my trip to Spain and got so many compliments. They hug you in all the right places, and suck everything in (no more cellulite!)
I just ordered these booties before I left for Spain and can’t wait to go back and start wearing them for fall. Why I love these three items is that they are perfect staple items. This tunic can be paired with literally anything, and I wear these free people jeans non-stop.
Hunter green is one of my favorite fall trends. If you don’t have this deep green cardigan, you need it! It’s one of my favorites – the balloon sleeves are so fun, and I’m obsessed with the button detailing.
This leopard cardigan is super similar to the Nordstrom one that you probably saw on every blogger a couple months ago but a fraction of the price. I found one from Amazon and would look so cute paired with Spanx and some black booties.
I can’t wait to get this amazon prime sweater dress in the mail. It’s so comfy and would pair perfectly with otk boots, booties or flats! I love it in the black and also the green option.
I love plaid and color-block for fall, and this color-block plaid poncho cape from amazon is no exception. Pair it with spanx, and target mules and voila.. you’ve got the perfect Thanksgiving outfit! I got these mules last year, they are so comfy and a dupe to the Gucci ones that I would never pay the price for!
I love pairing simple outfits together, like this black sweater, adding a leopard scarf and some leather black booties. The pop of leopard is fun because it really brightens up the outfit.
You can never go wrong with having a basic plaid flannel in your closet. I love this black and white one because of its simplicity. Pair it with my favorite fur vest, some white jeans and tan booties and you’ve got a really cute outfit for Thanksgiving.
Last but not least, this one’s been in my favorites for a long time. In fact, I love this cami so much, I bought it in blush pink and emerald. I love the emerald color because I don’t own anything like it, but also love the blush when I want to tone it down.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading! What are your thanksgiving plans?
