If you’re looking to start a fashion blog (or already have one), than you know apps can make your life SO much easier! I started my fashion blog two years ago and have not paid a single cent for any apps. Below, I’m listing the best 15 free apps every fashion blogger should have.
Photo Editing Apps
Canva
Canva is a free blogging app that allows you to easily create collages for your blog, Instagram and Pinterest. You can create infographics, logos, brochures, media kits, and so much more! The best part is you need zero photoshop experience. You can also download the Canva app on your phone, but TBH I don’t LOVE the mobile app because I feel like it’s hard to navigate. I always use Canva on my computer.
Lightroom
The Lightroom app is a more recent app for me, but I love it! I downloaded a preset to use on all my Instagram photos and it lets me add the preset on my photos with just a click of a button. Using one preset ensures that I have a cohesive Instagram feed.
Google Photos
Google Photos is a lifesaver for me. Since I am constantly running out of phone storage space, Google Photos lets me easily access all my photos in one spot so I can then delete them from my actual phone library to free up space. You have the ability to filter photos by dates, locations, favorites, or people tags.
Retouch
Retouch allows you to get rid of unnecessary items a photo. For example, if there’s a trashcan in the background, retouch lets you click the trashcan and delete it from the photo! I’ve found it to be super user friendly, and you definitely don’t need Photoshop experience.
Unfold
Ever wonder how people make collages for Instagram with different fonts? They probably use the Unfold app. It comes with templates where you can pop in your photos and text. I use these for RewardStyle images or ones to share in my Instagram stories.
Layout
I use the Layout app for some photos I post to Instagram where I do of side-by-side comparison photos like this one. You’ve most likely see the Layout app being used on your Instagram feed before – there’s a couple different layout options to choose from.
A ColorStory
A ColorStory allows you to easily adjust the temperature, brightness, contrast or sharpness of a photo. I always feel like I have trouble with my skin looking too orange when I would increase the brightness, so this app is great for toning that down. I also use A ColorStory for planning out my Instagram photos – so I can see how they look in a grid-view before posting to Instagram.
Affiliate Program Apps
Amazon
While I use the Amazon App for shopping, I also use the Amazon app for Amazon Affiliate / Amazon Influencer. I plan to go a little more in-depth on a blog post soon on the differences between the two but the Amazon app allows me to link items to my Amazon storefront where I make commission off the items sold.
LiketoKNowit / Rewardstyle
LiketoKnowit/ Rewardstyle is another affiliate program that I highly recommend. The Rewardstyle app was recently updated so it allows you to see analytics (what items sold this week, how much you made in commission sales) and also grab item links directly on mobile. This is super helpful when I want to share items quickly to my Instagram stories. The Liketoknowit / Rewardstyle app is also great because it allows you to link items directly into the app so you can make commissions.
Social Media Apps
This one may be a no-brainer, but Pinterest is great for creating a passive income. I’ve been slacking on Pinterest lately but you should be pinning all your blog photos, LTK photos and Instagram photos to increase commissions and blog traffic.
TikTok
TikTok is a great app to start using as a Fashion Blogger because it’s not as saturated as Instagram yet. It also requires much less effort and more reward!
Probably my favorite app that I spend way too much time on is the Instagram app. If you’re not already on Instagram already you need to be!
