Fall is one of the best times of the year. The temps cool down, the leaves start changing colors, and pumpkin spice fills the air everywhere we turn. But the most exciting part? Finally being able to wear all of those fall outfits we shoved away in the summer. I’m talking booties, chunky knit sweaters, leggings, a little leather here, a little corduroy there—all things that make resetting your closet exciting.
And don’t get me wrong, I love putting together spring and summer outfits. But there’s something about pairing cozy knits with layers and texture that I just love. Here’s the thing, though: Creating fall outfits can get overwhelming. There’s different fabrics, sooo many colors, and more often than not, a price tag that sends us right back to window shopping.
But fall fashion can be both easy and affordable! That’s why today, I’m rounding up the best casual fall outfit ideas from Amazon. These outfits bring all the fall vibes and that luxe, cozy feel, without the high price tags. Let’s give your closet the fall refresh it deserves.

Fall Outfit Ideas
Classic Cool Meets Playful Edge
Two pieces that go together perfectly? Bubble skirts and denim shirts—and you’d probably never think to pair them! The skirt has a fun ruffle hem and high-waist, making it both comfortable and eye-catching. And the cropped shirt is a closet staple that complements the skirt with ease.
It’s the perfect fall outfit for those days where you know it’ll be a little chilly, but standing in the sun will definitely start to warm you up. It’s lightweight, breathable, and super chic. If you love this look, make sure to check out my post, “How to Style a Denim Shirt” for more outfit ideas!
Leather Luxe with a Soft Twist
I don’t know who said that brown and black were sworn enemies in fashion, but they were wrong. I love the way the black leather jacket complements the brown leather boots—it’s effortless, intentional, and gives all the fall vibes.
The jacket itself is cozy but still breathable, making it an easy layer to take on or off throughout the day. With it, the simple white tee and high-waited skirt created a stylish fall outfit that has a little bit of edge to it. From running errands to going out for drinks, this outfit does it all.
Effortless Basics with Polished Detail
Not enough people talk about the important of capsule wardrobe pieces. Everything is this fall outfit isn’t just easy to wear on repeat, but also easy to pair with a number of different pieces. The long-sleeve bodysuit is something you can pair with shorts or skirts, and a good pair of light wash denim jeans goes with, honestly, everything.
And for a causal fall outfit? They’re a match made in heaven. It’s structured, simple, and looks flattering no matter what your day consists of. And, of course, the black ankle boots are an easy fall closet staple.
Everyday Ease with a Bold Statement
The secret to those wow-worthy casual fall outfits? Add on a chic, cozy layer. By itself, the leggings, cropped tank, and Converse create a laid-back look that works for any occasion. But when you add on the fuzzy faux fur jacket, you instantly elevate the whole look. It just screams fall.
The jacket, made with soft fleece and faux shearling, is everything your closet was missing. It’s great for the days you need a little extra warmth but don’t want to wear just any jacket or sweatshirt.
Power Dressing Meets Effortless Cool
I know what you may be thinking—a blazer in a list of casual outfits? And to that I say, absolutely. Here’s the fun thing about blazers: They’re versatile. If you pair it with a cute blouse and tailored pants, sure, it’s high-fashion and a little dressier.
But when you pair a blazer with knee-high boots and a cute mini skirt? It’s a fun, powerful outfit that’s totally acceptable for more casual occasions. Plus, it’s seriously so easy to throw on and go. If you love a fun blazer moment as much as I do, check out my pst, “Chic Blazer Outfits You Can Shop on Amazon Right Now.”
Refined Lineas, Relaxed Mood
Stripes can honestly be a hit-or-miss. Some people love them, some hate them, and others don’t know how to feel about them. This pattern is notorious for being “unflattering,” but that’s honestly such an outdated myth. My personal opinion? Stripes get a bad rap for no reason.
A chunkier stripe patterns feels less “chaotic.” They’re still bold and eye-catching, but they have a much more balanced approach. And when you pair the stripes with a complementary color (in this case, black on black), you get a flattering monochrome look that feels super easy to wear.
The Chelsea boots I’m wearing in this picture have since sold out, but check out my post, “Cozy Chelsea Boots Outfits for Fall & Winter” for plenty of other similar options.
Minimal Effort for Maximum Comfort
Fall gives us so many opportunities to wear things that just wouldn’t cut it in other seasons. Example number one? Ribbed sweater pants. These are the definition of “comfortable and cozy.” It feels like loungewear, but you can totally wear them out and about without feeling dressed down.
And since they have a flowier structure, I paired them with a simple cropped white tee. It isn’t skin-tight and uncomfortable, but just slightly loose and flowy to complement the pants. Finish the look off with a pair of sleek white sneakers and this fall outfit is ready to go!
Oversized Ease Meets Elevated Intention
If there’s one thing I love, it’s an oversized top. Sweaters, crewnecks, t-shirts—you name it, I’m obsessed with it. And not the “drowning in fabric” kind of oversized, but the effortlessly relaxed, intentionally laid-back kind. (There’s definitely a difference!).
The way you take an oversized piece from lazy to luxurious is all in how you style it. In this case, I wore a chic pair of distressed jeans and a trendy pair of white booties. Everything looks balanced, cohesive, and much more structured. Perfect if you’re going somewhere that requires a little bit of that dressy-casual feel.
Off-Duty with Direction
When we think of fall fashion, this is THE outfit most of us imagine. A comfy oversized sweatshirt, our go-to pair of leggings, simple white crew socks, and a cozy pair of suede ankle boots. It’s a classic look for a reason! No matter what year it is, you can expect this to be one of the most popular outfits.
Now, why is it so popular? Aside from how cozy it is, it’s so easy to dress for different occasions. Planning a movie night with friends? Great. Apple orchards or pumpkin patches on the arena? Even better! Heading to a relaxed dinner? Dress it up with simple accessories and you’re good to go. There’s not much this outfit can’t do.
Fresh Neutrals and Worn-In Denim
We’re back to capsule wardrobe pieces that never fail to create a simple yet ready-for-anything outfit. The simplicity is what makes this look so good—especially if you’re not the biggest fan of dark neutrals and earthy tones that most fall outfits incorporate.
All you need is a form-fitting white long-sleeve, a classic pair of distressed jeans, and the always timeless, high-top Converse. It’s easy, cozy, and truly never goes out of style.
Soft Structure with a Clean Edge
Want a break from jeans? I get it, which is exactly why I love these cotton palazzo pants. They’re SO comfortable and lightweight, perfect for anyone whose fall often still means hot days and warm breezes. Thanks to the khaki colt of the pants, you’re still channeling those fall tones—you’re just doing it without added layers or warmth.
The cropped white tee is the perfect addition, allowing you to accessorize with ease. And, of course, the Converse keeps things casual and stylish.
Staple Pieces and Easy Energy
As I’ve said multiple times already, staple pieces are invaluable. They’re stylish, versatile, and so easy to pair with virtually anything. This outfit is the perfect example! We’ve used the black cropped top, we’ve used the light wash denim, and we’ve used the white high-tops. Now we’re just putting them all together for a simple yet stylish fall outfit.
It has effortless structure, skipping out on flowy fabrics or bulky layers. And if the weather does cool down throughout the day (or you’re wearing this look towards the end of the season), just layer with a sleek leather jacket! This outfit works just as well for running errands as it does for going out for dinner and drinks.
Clean Palette, Confident Fit
Soft and cozy? Check. Complementary neutrals? Check. Perfect for whatever your fall-filled day has in store? Check, check, and check. This is the ideal outfit for the beginning of the season where it’s chilly in the morning but heats up in the afternoon.
The pants add the perfect amount of warmth while still feeling breathable and lightweight. And I’m a strong believer that anyone can (and should) wear a tube top whenever they can—they’re extremely flattering. I wore sandals to keep this outfit perfect for warmer fall temps, but feel free to wear anything from sneakers to casual kitten heels!
Dark Neutrals Meets Feminine Details
This is one of those fall outfits that I can’t get enough of. Like, as soon as the temperatures start to drop and the leaves begin changing colors, I’m already putting these pieces front and center in my closet. The whole look feels very “Wednesday Adams” meets soft silhouettes and fun ruffles—exactly what you want from your fall wardrobe.
The skirt has this “butterfly crochet” style with a tiered structure and flowy fabrics, while the oversize sweater keeps things cool and relaxed. To complement the ruffles, add on a simple pair of ruffle turn-cuff crew socks! It’s a simple detail that really ties the whole look together.
Everyday Essentials, Elevated
What do you get when you pair a bunch of closet staples together? This super cozy, throw-on-and-go fall outfit. It’s as comfortable as it is cute, perfect for anything your day may hold.
I wore a white short-sleeve bodysuit, but you can swap it out for a cropped tank or regular cropped short-sleeve if you prefer. Same with the distressed denim—I feel like it adds a streetwear edge to the look. But you can also totally trade out the jeans for something a little more refined. And then, of course, the waffle knit button down makes the outfit.
Laid-Back Layers and Vintage Inspiration
If you’ve been following along with the blog for a while, you know just how much I LOVE this crochet vest. I’ve included it in my “Rodeo Outfits from Amazon” post, my post on what to wear with blue jeans, and now, here! It’s just too good.
This is yet another outfit that hits that sweet spot when you can’t find what to wear during transitional temps. The fabric is cozy yet breathable, and the jeans are both chic and casual. I added sandals to keep everything relaxed—but feel free to get creative! Since this outfit works so well for dressy-causal outings, you could wear anything from fun wedges to a sleek pair of heels and look just as stylish.
Off Duty-Cool in Soft Layers
When you’re able to find an oversized sweater that doesn’t feel bulky and pairs effortlessly with jeans? You grab it, no questions asked. Of course, you can always gently tuck in a sweater and pair it with anything, but sometimes tucking something in just isn’t the vibe for the day.
The ease of this look isn’t the only thing I love about it, though. The sweater has a fun quarter-zip style that almost makes it most like athlesiure wear, just further adding to its versatility. All you need to complete this outfit is a pair of light wash jeans and a sleek pair of sneakers.
Utility Meets Casual Cool
I am a ride-or-die supporter for wide-leg jumpsuits—always have been, always will be. They make getting dressed so easy, especially in the fall when you can have fun with textures and layers.
For this look, I kept it simple and wore a loose waffle knit button-down, and it worked perfectly for a fall-inspired outfit. It was soft, cozy, and even added a little extra visual interest. To keep the look easy and refined, add on a pair of white Converse—that’s all you need!
Lounge Goals: Sweater Set Edition
When it comes to loungewear, you’ll always catch me stocking up on cute sets and matching pieces. Because who said you can’t look (and feel) cute even on your most laid-back days? This cable knit sweater set is everything I’ve ever wanted—and I don’t just limit it to casual fall wear!
Anytime the temps start to drop, I’m pulling this set out. It’s cozy, perfectly oversized, and effortlessly stylish. For at-home wear, you seriously can’t go wrong with the shearing fur slippers. (You can also wear them for a quick grocery store or coffee run… guilty!).
Sport Mode, but Make it Stylish
No matter what I have on my itinerary for the day, you can guarantee I’m making my outfit fall-inspired, somehow, someway. And yes, that includes athleisure wear! Even if you’re not headed off to the gym, this outfit is cute enough to include in your day-to-day rotation.
The soft brown cropped jacket is simple, structured, and the perfect light brown for fall. Underneath, I wore a basic cami tank—but feel free to trade it out for a long0sleeve if it’s a little chillier that day. And, of course, I wore black leggings and a pair of white sneakers to finish the look off.
