After working in a casual office for years, I completely understand how hard it can be to find workwear. It feels like everything is either too pricey or just not the vibe you’re going for. And, if you’re on the shorter side like me, it can feel SO much trickier finding good pieces that don’t need to be tailored.
That’s why today, I’m sharing tons of cute, budget-friendly, and casual summer work outfits from Amazon. Think: chic dresses, pieces you can mix or match, and outfits you can dress up (or down) for any after-work plans. Bonus: everything is true to size!

Casual Summer Work Outfits
Casual summer work outfits hit that sweet spot—they’re polished enough for the office without feeling too laid-back, but you’re also not stuck wearing a blazer and tailored pants. This makes it fun to mix things up and play with different styles, but let’s be real… it can also make getting dressed feeling a little overwhelming!
I shared this post on workwear a little while back, but I wanted to write a separate post dedicated to casual, summer-friendly pieces. No matter what vibe you’re going for, there’s a cute and affordable look in here for everyone!

Casual Summer Work Dresses
Mock Neck Mini Dress
This dress is the perfect mix of classy and casual. The mock neck and pleated detailing makes it look sleek and office-ready, but it’s still super comfy and you won’t be counting down the minutes until you can get home and change.
And as refined as it is, it’s still playful and easy to wear beyond work—it’d be super cute for anything from holiday looks to date nights.
Sleeveless Knit Dress
What screams summer more than a long sleeveless dress? I’m obsessed with how comfortable this look is and how summery it feels every time I wear it. The striped pattern is fun and effortlessly provides visual interest.
I paired it with these cute square-toe high heels, but you can switch it up depending on your office’s vibe! If you have a nice pair of cream sneakers, you could totally style them with this look and it will be just as cute.
Ribbed Knit Ruffle Dress
This dress is SO fun. And seriously, once you put it on, you’ll be shocked at how stylish it looks for how comfy it feels. The fabric is super cozy and stretchy, so you won’t feel restricted or uncomfortable. But, it still hugs in all of the right places for a flattering, slim-fitting look.
Plus, how cute is the ruffle detail? Good news is, you don’t have to keep this outfit solely in the casual summer work outfits section of your wardrobe. You can wear it in the beginning of fall when the temps are in those awkward in-betweens!
Floral Print Sundress
The blue and white in this look really nails that “nautical vibe” just right. This specific dress in the picture is sold out in some sizes, but if you click the link you can find a bunch of similar styles!
I feel like a lot of times then you find a dress like this, it can be tight and make you feel like you don’t have much room to move around. Fortunately, this dress is NOT that. It’s slightly stretchy, super soft, and perfect for casual workwear. It would also be the perfect vacation outfit, too!
Button-Down Shirt Dress
Button-down shirt dresses are the epitome of casual summer fashion. You really don’t need to add or change anything to dress them up; they look super chic on their own.
Aside from being cute and budget-friendly, the fabric on this dress is soft and breathable. Even though you’ll be wearing it in the office all day, at least you know you’ll be comfortable!
High Neck A-Line Dress
If you loved the knit sleeveless dress above and wanted other similar options, I’ve got you! This look is called a “sweater dress” on Amazon, but it’s not overly heavy or thick whatsoever. You’ll be surprised at how breathable and suitable it is for warm weather.
And, while this dress is form-fitting, it isn’t clingy—super big difference. Instead of feeling like it’s sticking to you, it drapes perfectly for an overall flattering silhouette.
Short-Sleeve Button-Down Dress
Okay, I know I shared a button-down dress already, but you can never have too many! Plus, there are two major benefits to this specific style: it comes in a bunch of fun colors and it has pockets. If you’ve been around for a little while, you know how I feel when I find a dress with pockets (and I know you feel the same.)
Summer is the perfect time to wear bright oranges like this. And, since I haven’t really shown you in other pictures yet, notice how cute the outfit is even with a pair of white sneakers? This dress is super versatile and fun to wear in warm weather.
Casual Summer Pants Outfits For Work
Two-Piece Mock Neck and Wide-Leg Pants
Now that I’ve covered dresses, let’s talk pants! My favorite thing about this outfit is the fact that it’s a set, which takes all of the effort out of planning. Not only is it a cute monochrome moment, but it’s perfect for casual summer work outfits.
I paired it with sneakers for a more laid-back look, but feel free to wear your set with anything from sandals to summery wedges.
Sweater Top and Wide-Leg Pants
Kinda like I said earlier about the sweater dress, don’t let the title of this top fool you—it’s lightweight, breathable, and loose-fitting.
I also love how the top gives off a slightly more sophisticated vibe, but the relaxed silhouette of the wide-leg pants balances it out perfectly. It’s the ideal of mix of professional and laid-back, making it perfect for those days where you want to look put-together but not too dressed-up.
Mock Neck Knit Vest and Palazzo Pants

I looooove this look. To be honest, matching shades is the easiest style hack; it’s low effort but high impact. The structured tops makes this outfit feel office appropriate, but the wide-leg style of the palazzo pants gives it that laid-back vibe.
This is one of those looks that you won’t just look great in, you’ll feel great it. And you can always mix and match pieces throughout seasons so you can get a ton of use out of both.
Tank Top and High-Waisted Pants
It’s hard to see in the picture, but these pants are actually mint green! It’s a fun switch up from traditional black jeans or straight-leg khakis that you may tend to reach for. Plus, back to what I said earlier, summertime is the best for wearing colors you wouldn’t typically wear in other seasons!
The exact tank top that I’m wearing in the picture is sold out, but you can find a near identical style here. I love how even though it is just a simple tank, you can effortlessly elevate it by gently tucking it.
Ruffle Tee and Cropped Paper Pants
I instantly saw these pants and fell in love with how comfy they look. And yes, I’m here to testify that they are as cozy as they look! The cropped style and chic elastic waist tie are perfect for the office.
For the top, I loved the idea of a regular white tee but I felt like these pants just needed more, ya know? So I found this ruffle round neck blouse that complements the outfit perfectly. It’s a great teacher outfit as well!
Chiffon Blouse and Cropped Paper Pants
I’m the type of person that when I love something, I tend to get it in as many colors as I think I’ll wear, lol. But hey, that’s what makes fashion fun! These black pants are the same ones from above, but they transform the vibe entirely.
This look still leans more casual thanks to the chiffon blouse, but it definitely works on the days where you may have a meeting and you need something more dressy-casual—make sense? The top I’m wearing is sold out, but you can shop here for a similar style!
Boho Jumpsuit and Short-Sleeve Bodysuit
Soooo technically a jumpsuit counts as pants, right? This one was just too good not to share. I feel like similar to matching sets, jumpsuits instantly look chic and refined. They aren’t overly dressy or overly casual, making them perfect to add to your list of casual summer work outfits to wear this year.
The floral pattern and boho style scream summer. I just paired it with a short-sleeve bodysuit and high-top converse, but feel free to customize it however you’re most comfortable!
Casual Shorts and Skirt Outfits For Work
Tank Top, Cardigan, and Denim Shorts
The best thing about casual summer work outfits? The option to wear shorts if you want to. Not only can they feel much more comfortable than pants or even dresses (depending on your preference!), but they’re sooo fun to style.
Even though this look just consists of shorts, a tank top, a cardigan, and sandals, it looks chic and put-together. The tank is backless (I used the cardigan to cover it up, of course), but that just means you could double it for going-out wear!
Crochet Ruffle Tank and Denim Shorts
Another super cute shorts outfit that I can’t get enough of. I used those pair of shorts from the last outfit idea, switched out the tank and cardigan for a crocheted top, and voila! A whole new look.
Some tank top styles can feel tooooo casual for office wear, which I get! But because this top has a high neckline and more structured style, it passes the test in my book.
Boho Skirt and Short-Sleeve Bodysuit
On the days where you want to just slip something on without giving it too much thought, there’s nothing better than a cute skirt and a simple t-shirt. Well, in this case it’s a bodysuit, but you get the point, lol.
The skirt is fun and flowy—and the slit adds a playful touch without going too high, so it still feels totally work-appropriate.
Cropped Knit Cardigan and Skorts

I originally included this look in my post on cute Christmas party outfits, but it can really double as a casual summer work outfit, too.
Like a few of the other outfits on here, this could definitely be worn as a dressy-casual look for whenever the occasion calls for it. The top doesn’t come with anything under it, so make sure to wear either a dress (like the black dress at the top of my list) or a tank top!
Which one of these casual summer work outfits do you plan to wear first?
Finding cute and casual work outfits can feel like a struggle at first. You’re stuck in the constant battle between looking too formal, feeling underdressed, or finally finding the perfect outfit only to see that the price tag is way over-budget. No matter what kind of vibe you’re looking for, I hope these affordable Amazon outfits were able to give you all the inspo you needed!
