Some people are great at painting their own nails, and while I wish I was, I’m definitely not one of those people, lol! I’ll always go to the nail place to get either a dip or gel pedicure and manicure. But with COVID happening, I knew I had to find another option for my nails to still look cute. (I also always like having something on my nails to prevent me from anxiously bitting them.) First, I tried a dip nail kit, which came out absolutely awful (if you want a good laugh, check the video out on my TikTok where I try to do an at-home dip manicure.)
After that #majorfail, I decided to buy these DIY press-on nails to try, not expecting them to work. But I ended up being blown-away! They stayed on a full two-weeks, so I bought a couple more DIY nail kits to try. Below, I’m sharing my favorite DIY nails at home kits you can buy for less than $6. Also, I’m sharing the manicure kit / cuticle oil balm that I have been using. I absolutely love how easy and in-expensive these DIY press on nails are (and might be converting even after nail salons open again!)
Love the shape of these + that you can put the glitter nails wherever you want. These are stick on (no glue) but I ended up using glue the last week because I put them too high up my nail bed.

These were the first ones I got – really like the dark color. I ended up filling these ones down but you can keep them longer or file depending on preference! These came with a glue option or adhesive, I’d recommend the glue for them to stay on longer.

These are the press-on nails that I have on right now. These are shorter so I didn’t end up having to file them down, these are glue ones as well which I like.

I use this grooming kit, nail polish remover, and cuticle oil balm before putting the press-on nails. I really like this cuticle oil balm vs. a cuticle oil because it’s not messy at all!
